Is Sermorelin legal in Australia?

Not approvedNot on the ARTG. Sermorelin is prescription-only (Schedule 4), and as a GHRH analogue it may also fall under the Appendix D possession control.

Not approved as a medicine here.

Sermorelin is listed by name in Schedule 4 of the Poisons Standard, so it is prescription-only. It is a 29-amino-acid analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH), and Appendix D clause 5 (possession without authority is illegal) lists GHRHs "including those separately specified in Schedule 4", so that control may also apply; check with a state or territory health department. A keyword search of the ARTG on 29 September 2026 found no sermorelin product. As an unapproved good it cannot be advertised to the public, and a prescriber or pharmacist would need to meet the TGA rules for unapproved and compounded medicines. Sport Integrity Australia names it as an example of a banned peptide hormone.
