Is DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) legal in New Zealand?
Not approvedNo Medsafe-approved medicine contains DSIP; it is not named in Medsafe's 2026 peptide advisory
Not approved as a medicine here.
Medsafe's index of data sheets for consented medicines, revised 29 September 2026, lists no DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) product, and the classification database has no DSIP entry that could be found. Medsafe's May 2026 advisory does not name it but says its list is not complete. A DSIP product supplied for use in people would need ministerial consent as a medicine, and products sold outside the regulated system are illegal however they are labelled.
