Tesamorelin appears by name in the Medsafe classification database as a prescription medicine, but Medsafe's index of data sheets for consented medicines, revised 29 September 2026, lists no tesamorelin product (no Egrifta entry). Without ministerial consent it cannot lawfully be sold, supplied or advertised, apart from narrow exemptions such as a prescriber obtaining an unapproved medicine for a named patient. Medsafe's product search showed no tesamorelin product on 29 September 2026.
