Is Tesamorelin legal in European Union?

Tesamorelin has no EU-wide authorisation. The company Ferrer Internacional withdrew its application for Egrifta (excess abdominal fat in HIV lipodystrophy) from CHMP review on 21 June 2012. No centralised authorisation has been granted since. Tesamorelin is also on the WADA 2026 Prohibited List as a growth-hormone-releasing factor (S2.2.4).
