Is Tesamorelin legal in Canada?

ProhibitedNot authorised since Egrifta was cancelled in 2022; Health Canada has seized unauthorised tesamorelin (2025 notices)

Supply is banned or actively enforced against.

Theratechnologies' Egrifta was sold in Canada from 2015-06 until its post-market cancellation on 2022-09-30, and a second Egrifta listing was cancelled before market on 2023-07-13. Nothing is currently marketed. Health Canada's notices on unauthorised injectable peptides seized from Canada Peptide (2025-08-01) and at Rize Fitness (2025-12-24) both name tesamorelin, and say selling unauthorised drugs is illegal. The WADA Prohibited List 2026 bans it in sport (S2.2.4).
