Is Setmelanotide legal in China?

CDE's public register shows one import clinical-trial application for setmelanotide injection, accepted on 2022-06-22 (Rhythm Pharmaceuticals with Citrine Medicine). We found no marketing application and no entry on the NMPA innovative-drug approvals list. China requires a marketing approval document before a drug can be produced, imported or sold (Drug Administration Law, Articles 24 and 98). NMPA's own database could not be searched, so an approval under a different Chinese name cannot be fully excluded.
