Is Retatrutide legal in Mexico?

Not approvedNot registered in Mexico; retatrutide is unapproved everywhere

Not approved as a medicine here.

No medicine containing this ingredient appears in COFEPRIS's yearly lists of allopathic registrations issued from 2007 to 2026 that we searched, and the 2026 list of new applications (updated 31 August 2026) has no entry for it. Retatrutide is an investigational Eli Lilly triple-hormone medicine that no regulator has approved. We found no COFEPRIS alert naming it on the alerts pages we could read. Any product sold as retatrutide in Mexico would be unregistered. COFEPRIS's alerts state that a medicine needs a sanitary registration before it can be sold in Mexico and that prescription drugs are governed by Article 226 of the Ley General de Salud.
