Is Orforglipron legal in Brazil?

In April 2026 trade press, citing Valor Econômico, reported that the application had already been submitted to Anvisa. The same report quoted a Lilly executive who expected a Brazilian launch by the second half of 2027, depending on the pace of review. A report from August 2026 said that as of 2026-08-11 it found no public Anvisa decision and no official document confirming a filing. So the filing rests on company statements, and orforglipron is not in Anvisa's register. It is not available legally in Brazil.
