Is Orforglipron legal in Australia?
A regulator is actively reviewing it.
The TGA's list of prescription medicines under evaluation shows an application for orforglipron calcium from Eli Lilly Australia (type A, a new medicine), accepted in January 2026. The proposed uses are weight loss and long-term weight management in adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition, and treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes. The TGA notes that listing does not guarantee registration or PBS entry. A keyword search of the ARTG on 29 September 2026 found no orforglipron entry, so it cannot be supplied as an approved product yet.
