Is NAD+ legal in New Zealand?

Not approvedNo Medsafe-approved medicine contains NAD+; the record covers NAD+ as a medicine, not supplements

Not approved as a medicine here.

Medsafe's index of data sheets for consented medicines, revised 29 September 2026, lists no NAD+ product, and NAD+ is not named in Medsafe's May 2026 advisory. Any NAD+ product supplied for a therapeutic purpose, such as an injection or infusion, would need ministerial consent as a medicine under the Medicines Act 1981. Supplement-type products containing NAD+ or its precursors fall under separate dietary supplement rules that this record does not assess.
