National Medical Products Administration (NMPA)
Is NAD+ legal in China?
Approved, but with limits on who can get it or how.
CDE's public register lists domestic applications for coenzyme I for injection (NAD), including supplementary applications filed in 2012 (Hefei Pingguang) and in 2019 and 2025 (Kaifeng Kangnuo), which are only filed for products that already have an approval, a 2012 generic application, and new-drug clinical applications for improved coenzyme I for injection in 2023 and 2025. We did not retrieve the approval certificate or the approved indications, so the exact label is not confirmed here. Any approved product is subject to the Drug Administration Law's rules on sale and advertising, and "NAD+" wellness products or services are not covered by this record.
