Not approvedNo Medsafe-approved medicine contains MOTS-c; mitochondria-derived peptides are prescription-only
Not approved as a medicine here.
Medsafe's index of data sheets for consented medicines, revised 29 September 2026, lists no MOTS-c product. The Medsafe classification database lists 'mitochondria-derived peptides and their analogues' as a prescription medicine class, a group entry that may capture MOTS-c; MOTS-c is not listed by name. It is not named in Medsafe's May 2026 advisory, which says its list of unapproved peptides is not complete. Products sold outside the regulated system are illegal however they are labelled.
