Medsafe's index of data sheets for consented medicines, revised 29 September 2026, lists no maridebart cafraglutide product, and the classification database has no entry for it that could be found. Under the Medicines Act 1981 a new medicine cannot be sold, supplied or advertised without ministerial consent (delegated to Medsafe). Medsafe also states that clinical trials of new medicines need Medsafe and ethics committee approval.
