Is GHK-Cu (copper peptide) legal in New Zealand?
Not approvedNo Medsafe-approved medicine contains GHK-Cu; it is not named in Medsafe's 2026 peptide advisory
Not approved as a medicine here.
Medsafe's index of data sheets for consented medicines, revised 29 September 2026, lists no GHK-Cu product, and the classification database has no GHK-Cu entry that could be found. Medsafe's May 2026 peptide advisory does not name it, but says its list of unapproved peptides is not complete. Any GHK-Cu product supplied for a therapeutic purpose in people, such as an injection, would need ministerial consent as a medicine. Cosmetic products fall under separate rules that this record does not assess.
