Is GHK-Cu (copper peptide) legal in Australia?
Not approved as a medicine here.
The TGA's April and June 2026 statements list GHK-Cu among unapproved peptide products that have not been evaluated for safety, quality or effectiveness. A keyword search of the ARTG on 29 September 2026 found no GHK-Cu or copper tripeptide product, GHK-Cu is not named in the Poisons Standard, although its Schedule 4 entry for copper compounds for human use (with exceptions for low-copper preparations) may apply to some products. That advice concerns therapeutic uses; it does not address any cosmetic ingredient rules. Unlawful advertising, import, manufacture or supply of unapproved peptides is a compliance priority.
