Is Dulaglutide legal in United Kingdom?

ApprovedLicensed in the UK as Trulicity for type 2 diabetes only; not licensed for weight loss

The regulator has approved it as a medicine.

Trulicity (dulaglutide, Eli Lilly) has a UK licence for insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes in people aged 10 and over, as monotherapy where metformin is unsuitable or added to other diabetes medicines. Its Summary of Product Characteristics was last revised on 25 February 2026. It has no weight-management indication in the UK, and using it for weight loss alone would be outside its licence. It is prescription-only.
