- On 4 December 2023 Roche announced a merger agreement to acquire Carmot Therapeutics for $2.7 billion upfront plus up to $400 million in milestone payments. The deal included CT-388, a once-weekly GLP-1/GIP dual agonist, and two other obesity or diabetes candidates.[src]
- Zealand Pharma petrelintide collaboration
- On 12 March 2025 Roche announced an exclusive collaboration and licence agreement with Zealand Pharma to co-develop and co-commercialise petrelintide, a long-acting amylin analogue. Roche stated upfront payments totalling $1.65 billion ($1.4 billion due at closing and $250 million over the first two anniversaries) and total potential consideration of up to $5.3 billion including milestones.[src]
