Phase 2 trial published
A phase 2 trial of once-monthly maridebart cafraglutide in 592 adults was published in the New England Journal of Medicine (online in June 2025; print issue dated 4 September 2025). The trial was funded by Amgen. At 52 weeks, mean weight change in adults with obesity ranged from -12.3% to -16.2% with the drug versus -2.5% with placebo (treatment-policy estimand). Gastrointestinal side effects were common.[src]
